Maybank Indonesia Announces Maybank Bali Marathon 2017

PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (Maybank Indonesia), as the organizer of Maybank Bali Marathon announced the official race date of the Maybank Bali Marathon 2017 ("MBM17"), an international race that will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2017 in Bali.

Maybank Indonesia made a number of improvement and refinement to make the event more vibrant, entering the sixth year of the race since it was first held in 2012.

In 2017, The number of participants is expected to reach 8000-9000 participants, a 20% increase from last year.

"We increase the number of participants this year to accommodate the interest of participation that continue to increase from year to year. In tune with the increase in the number of participants, we will also improve the readiness of better infrastructure to maintain the quality, safety and comfort of the race, ranging from race pack collection, setting the starting pen and finishing area. It is our main principle that additional participants should not diminish the quality of the race, "said Taswin Zakaria, President Director of Maybank Indonesia.

The race will have 4 categories: full-marathon (FM), half-marathon (HM), 10K and children sprint (race children).

Online Registration

Registration can be done online via www.balimarathon.com. Maybank Indonesia will open exclusive online registration for Maybank Credit Card holder starting in 9 April 2017 to 15 April 2017. Public registration with early bird price will be open on 16 April 2017 until 30 April 2017, subject to early bird slot availability. Registration with normal price will start from May 1, 2017 until July 23, 2017 or after the all slots for early bird been taken.

Maybank will be supported by reliable partners that will collaborate in making this international race kept at highest standards. Official Venue for this year is Bali Safari Marine Park, which has supported the event since 2012. MBM17 also supported by Allianz Life as the Official Insurance Partner, Danone as Official Hydration Partner, AirAsia and AirAsia BIG as Official Airline Partner, XL as the Official Telecommunications Partner and Adidas as the Official Apparel.

Corporate Social Responsibility

Maybank Indonesia will continue the program of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Bali, especially in the area of the running route. Thousands of people in Bali and high school students will again participate to warmly welcomed the participants and enliven this international event.
