Karangasem Bali International Marathon is originally held to share the unexplored beauty of East Coast of Bali. The Karangasem regency is well known with its ancient inheritance such as Puri Karangasem, Tirta Gangga, Taman Ujung Karangasem. Tenganan, the traditional village of Bali with its uniqueness is a place that you should not miss to visit. The beauty scenery along the race route with Agung Mount as a background can be experienced if you join the race. The biggest Hindu's temple in Bali - Besakih Temple is located on the foot of Agung Mount.
After being held for four times Karangasem Bali International Marathon will be on again on Sunday, 3 April 2005 for the fifth times. There will be: a Full Marathon (42,195 km) race, a Half Marathon (21.098 km) race and a 10K race to run in the same day.
You will experience the "Beleganjur' - a type of traditional Balinese Music Orchestra, pumps your energetic up at the starting point, and at the turning points. Local people, children and adults will be very happy to participate in motivating you along the route.
One day before the race, you will be taken to check the route, and on the evening a High Carbo Pasta Party will be waiting for you to be enjoyed. The next evening after the race, Gala Dinner with surprising traditional art performance will be prepared for you to release tenseness of the muscles after the tiring race.
